At the University of Arizona's Controlled Environment Agriculture Center, I supported tomato research as an assistant, helping with:
- Daily plant care, including leaf health and pruning
- Harvesting and nutrient mixing
- Sensor installation and creation of digital data logs
- Monitoring and tuning of hydroponic nutrient flows
🏥 Hospital Work During COVID (2020–2022)
- Coast Plaza Hospital: Worked under extreme pressure as a patient observer and responder during the COVID-19 surge. Provided bedside support, assisted with code blues, and monitored behavioral health cases with rapid communication to nurses.

🙌 Volunteer Experience
- Boys and Girls Club (2017–2018): Volunteered as a youth mentor during after-school hours, assisting with homework, organizing group games, and helping manage classroom dynamics. I created safe, supportive spaces where kids could unwind, learn, and grow. My work helped reduce behavioral issues and improve academic focus for several students over time.
- Chinese Immigration Services (2016–2017): Assisted elderly Chinese immigrants preparing for their U.S. citizenship interviews. I broke down complex civics content into simple, culturally relevant lessons and practiced one-on-one mock interviews. For many, I was their first point of confidence in navigating the U.S. naturalization system — and I celebrated proudly when they passed.
- Hospital Vaccination Response (2020–2021): Stepped in as a front-line volunteer during the peak of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. I managed logistics at drive-through and indoor vaccination clinics — checking patients in, translating instructions, and entering sensitive medical data under pressure. My work helped relieve overwhelmed medical staff and ensured patients, especially seniors, felt safe and heard.
🌐 Creator of OneEarth (2024)
I developed OneEarth, a web-based AI-powered platform that aggregates global environmental news and climate data in real time. The site was designed to inform and empower users through up-to-date, location-specific reporting on global warming, sustainability, and environmental policy.
The system integrated multiple APIs for weather and news, used Python-based Flask for the backend, and featured an AI assistant to summarize headlines and map environmental events globally.
